I recently came across ths in my many travels across the World Wide Web . Mick Boogie and Terry Urban have release yet another mixtape to honour the legendary group De La Soul for providing us with great hip-hop music for 20 years. The mixtape features appearances my Talib Kweli, Phife Dawg of ATCQ and Toronto’s own Kardinal Offishall. It’s an amazing collaborative album with all the hits you would expect from De La Soul, and it is definitely worth a listen. To download click here

KiD CuDi in Toronto!

This passed weekend one of the best artists out right now, Kid Cudi, hit Toronto for not one, but two performances. He opened for Lady Gaga on her Fame Kills tour at the Air Canada Centre then performed for his own sold out show at the Kool Haus in downtown Toronto. KeysNKrates, a group out of Toronto, opened the show with an amazing performance. They remixed such songs such MGMT’s Electric Feel to The Fugees Fu-gee-la.

After an hour and a half waiting for Kid Cudi, after being told that he would be on stage in a few minutes, the crowd began to get restless anticipating his arrival. I can’t really be mad at Cudi for showing up late, he did after all open for Lady Gaga mere hours before. When Kid Cudi did finally arrive he exploded on to the stage opening with Already Home from Jay – Z’s latest album the Blueprint 3, which he was featured on. He then continued by performed songs from his popular mixtapes such as Embrace the Martian, Dat New “New”, and Down and Out and from his critically acclaimed debut album Man on the Moon: The End of Day, performing popular songs such as Soundtrack 2 My Life, Heart of a Lion, Up, Up and Away, Solo Dolo, Cudi Zone, Make Her Say, the popular single Day and Night and closing the show with my personal favourite The Pursuit of Happiness. Toronto’s own Drake made a surprise performance joining Kid Cudi on stage.

To conclude, although I didn’t like the fact that this was an all ages event…. regardless Kid Cudi puts on a great show. He’s truly one of my favourite artists right now and I look forward to his next visit to this great city of Toronto.

Another semester of school is under my belt and what better way to begin summer and the blooging season then with a post about young up and coming hip-hop artist P-Air and the release of his latest mixtape The Uking Genius. It’s being said that the Internet giant Google will soon be charging users of its insanely popular search engine to use its service. This may come as bad news for most, but you have to wonder why they haven’t been charging us for it this whole time. I mean, imagine the amount of people use Google daily. Now imagine each one of them paying $1 a search… damn!

What’s up people, it has been a while, but I’m back here trying to get this blog rolling again. I really want to commit to one blog a week at least. The reason why I haven’t been blogging is that I’ve been really busy with school… and dealing with being broke. But rest assured that I’m on my way to get back on my feet. So with that being said here’s the first blog post of 2010!

I recently came across an article that I found interesting. It turns out that physical contact when greeting someone is a lot better for you than just a smile and a hello. So the next time I see you, expect a hug

Dirty Play or Solid Check?

Take a look at this hit. Was this a dirty play? Or was it just a good check by a defender who caught the puck handler with his head down. Either way because of it, Mike Liambas was banned from the OHL season and Ben Fanelli ended up in intensive care.
